Five Day Facelift Diet

18 Sep

On Rising -
200ml Purified/Spring Water with half a lemon squeezed

Breakfast -
2 cups porridge oats, prepare with water
1 handful berries or grated apple added (I have been using frozen blueberries so I always have them ready to throw in – raspberries/blackberries/blueberries)
1-2 Tablespoons of Walnuts and Almonds (I chop them up as much as I can, one tablespoon of each)
1 tablespoon cold pressed flaxseed oil (add after porridge removed from heat) – this actually ruined my breakfast I would say quickly swallow it separately
Dash of cinnamon (optional)
1 cup of green tea and/or 200ml purified/spring water

Lunch -
Raw Powerhouse Salad (colourful mixture of crunchy veg and salad ingredients)
Dressing of olive oil or lemon juice or garlic/herbs/seasoning
100g – 200g Omega 3 Rich Fish (salmon, tuna -fresh or canned, makerel, sardines)
A slice of melon or handful of berries
1 cup of green tea and/or 200ml purified/spring water

Dinner -
100g – 200g any kind of fish, organic lamb’s liver, tofu or an omelette
Large mixed green salad – include avocado if you like it and dress with any of these – lemon juice, olive oil, flaxseed oil, cider, balsamic vinegar
Slice of Melon together with a handful of berries fresh or frozen
1 cup of green tea and/or 200ml purified/spring water

Evening -
200ml purified/spring water

Snacks (Optional) -
50 g chicken or turkey breast
1 kiwi fruit or small apple or pear
Handful of walnuts or macadamias
200ml purified/spring water

I found this five day diet in Leslie Kenton’s book ‘Skin Revolution’. I’m learning a lot from this book written by this extremely respected beauty and skincare expert. She was the lady behind Origins. She was behind bringing the internal supplement Imedeen to the British market and she is a previous beauty editor of Harpers and Queen.

I highly recommend her book to anyone who is interested in skincare, I discovered it after ARK Skincare’s Shula Starkey recommended it to me, and I’m very glad that she did!

    Hi Susie,

This looks very interesting. A great idea for a blog!

Having spent a fair amount on products that look after my skin, particularly my face, I have definitely found that what I eat is the dominant factor in determining how my skin looks. Particularly with regards to avoiding spots and uneven skin. So I do not need much persuading that diet affects skin.

I will certainly try this diet as, diet-wise, I tend to rely on eating fruit (particularly pineapple) to keep my skin in decent condition. This 5 Day Diet will hopefully give me a better all round diet to complement the products I use on my skin.

Hope you are keeping well and hope you don’t mind me saying your skin always looks fantastic.

    Kindest regards
    Michael
